You have two options to register for the LASA2024 Congress.

1. All Access

All Access provides all the benefits of the LASA membership plus registration to the LASA2024 Congress. This option is the cost-saving alternative, since acquiring the membership and Congress registration jointly turns out in a total lower fee.

The option All Access provides more affordable fees to the LASA membership and participation in the annual international Congress, particularly for residents of Latin America, the Caribbean and other developing regions of the world; for students worldwide; and for retired professors, contingent faculty, independent scholars, and practitioners.

Acquiring All Access does not guarantee that your proposal will be accepted. All the proposals, individual papers and sessions, are evaluated and ranked by the LASA2024 Track Chairs. Succeeding this classification, LASA accepts the best ones according to the space and time available in the place of the Congress.

So, why acquiring both now, membership and registration, if there is the risk of not being accepted?

If your paper or session is not accepted into the LASA2024 academic program, but your All Access is valid throughout the Congress, you can still enjoy the benefit of the Congress registration by attending all sessions, the Book Exhibit, the Film Festival and more, either on-site or virtually. Additionally, if your proposal does get accepted, you no longer have to worry about registration, which you obtained at the lowest rate available.

2. Congress Registration

This option consists of acquiring the Congress registration separately from the LASA membership. It is a good option if your current LASA membership is active after September 15, 2023, which is a requirement to submit a proposal.

If your LASA membership is expired or will expire before September 16, 2023, and you prefer not to acquire the All Access, you must join or renew your LASA membership now in order to submit a proposal, and later you can decide whether or not to register for the Congress using this option.

Congress registration is also preferred by those who, at the time of submitting a proposal, are unsure about participating in the Congress, or prefer to wait for their proposal to be accepted before registering for the Congress.

Both registration options, All Access and Congress registration only, are valid to participate and attend on-site or virtually.

In order to submit a proposal for LASA2024, your All Access or membership, must be valid after the proposal submission deadline, September 15, 2023.

In order to participate or attend LASA2024 either on-site or virtually, your registration –included in the All Access or added separately to your membership– must be valid throughout the Congress, meaning until June 16, 2024.

All Access does not include Section membership fees nor LASA Continental Congresses registration.
