Em cada Congresso Internacional, a Associação de Estudos Latino-Americanos (LASA) apresenta o Prêmio do Livro Bryce Wood para o livro de destaque sobre a América Latina em ciências humanas e sociais, publicado em inglês.

Em cada Congresso Internacional, a Associação de Estudos Latino-Americanos (LASA) apresenta o Bryce Wood Book Award para o livro de destaque sobre a América Latina em ciências humanas e sociais, publicado em inglês. Os livros qualificados para o Congresso Internacional da LASA de 2019 serão aqueles publicados entre 1º de julho de 2017 e 30 de junho de 2018. Embora nenhum livro possa concorrer mais de uma vez, as traduções podem ser consideradas. Antologias de seleções de vários autores ou reedições de trabalhos publicados anteriormente normalmente não estão na disputa pelo prêmio. Os livros serão avaliados nos quesitos qualidade da pesquisa, análise, escrita e importância da contribuição aos estudos Latino-Americanos. Os livros podem ser indicados por autores, membros do LASA ou editores. Pode ser levado forma nomeações por electrónico. Para isto deveria encher a forma de nomeação e enviar isto até 21 de setembro 2018para o endereço: lasa.awards@pitt.edu. Para o transporte internacional, por favor rotular todos os livros como presentes e não como amostras.

Todos os livros indicados devem chegar a cada membrodo Comitê do Prêmio até 21 de setembro 2018. Em 20 de janeiro 2019, o comitê selecionará um livro vencedor. O comitê também poderá conceder uma menção honrosa. O prêmio será anunciado na Cerimônia de Premiación da LASA2019 e o premiado será homenageado publicamente. O recebimento do prêmio não está sujeito à afiliação na LASA.
