Register to the LASA2020 Virtual Congress paying the amount that you can afford

March 27, 2020

The deadline for LASA2020 participants is April 2, 2020.

Following the last communications, LASA expresses its solidarity not only to all those who have contracted the COVID-19 and their families, but also with all those whose way of life and income are being affected by the spread of the virus or by the measures being taken to mitigate the infection.

In this context, LASA has joined the global effort to minimize large public events and has proposed a virtual Congress. Moreover, in accordance with the exceptional health situation and the financial impact of this pandemic among its members, LASA has decided that it will not require a mandatory registration amount for this conference.

Therefore, each member who wishes to participate in this Congress will be invited to establish a registration amount that they can afford in their current circumstances.

For the sake of transparency, it is important for the membership to know that this decision has an adverse impact on the financial results of the Congress and on the functioning of the Association. However, it is equally relevant to report that in the present, this is the measure that we have considered fairest for our membership.
