La Asociación de Estudios Latinoamericanos (LASA, por sus siglas en inglés) otorgó su LASA Media Award 2026 a la periodista cubana Carla Gloria Colomé, quien ejerce su profesión desde el exilio y publica regularmente en el diario El País y la revista El Estornudo.
Con este premio, LASA busca "reconocer los aportes periodísticos a largo plazo en el análisis y el debate público sobre América Latina en EEUU y en América Latina, así como al periodismo innovador". El galardón será entregado por el presidente de la organización, Maxwell A. Cameron, durante la Ceremonia de Bienvenida del XLIV Congreso Internacional de la Asociación LASA 2026 que, bajo el tópico de "Republic and Revolution", se celebrará en mayo próximo en París.
