LASA archives Platinum Seal of Transparency

November 23, 2022

We’re excited to share that LASA has earned the 2022 Platinum Seal of Transparency, the highest seal of the Candid best practice guide for collecting and sharing information about nonprofit organizations. Seals are a way to demonstrate the Association’s commitment to transparency and build confidence among current members and potential future supporters.

The 2022 Platinum Seal of Transparency means that LASA shares clear and essential information with members and public at large about its mission, goals, strategies, capabilities, achievements, and progress indicators that highlight the impact the Association makes in the world.

Potential donors can find in-depth financial information about LASA as they consider a gift that supports its mission: foster intellectual discussion, research, and teaching on Latin America, the Caribbean, and its people throughout the Americas, promote the interests of its diverse membership, and encourage civic engagement through network building and public debate.

Candid is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive data and insights about the social sector. Candid was formed in 2019 when GuideStar and Foundation Center merged.
