Así lo apuntó en declaraciones a Prensa Latina, tras un encuentro organizado por amigos del país caribeño en la nación sudamericana y en el que participaron académicos que conforman la delegación cubana que participa en el Congreso Internacional de la Asociación de Estudios Latinoamericanos (LASA en inglés).
“Para la militancia de la solidaridad fue una actividad muy importante, es un honor poder escuchar a la intelectualidad cubana y poder actualizarnos sobre la realidad de Cuba”, añadió Mejía.
Agregó asimismo que el objetivo era generar un espacio para que quienes apoyan a la Revolución cubana pudieran recibir información detallada sobre las múltiples medidas impuestas por el gobierno de los Estados Unidos contra el pueblo antillano.
