En el auditorio Alfonso Quintana, de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, se realizó la instalación del Congreso Internacional de la Asociación de Estudios Latinoamericanos (LASA) 2024, que promueve la investigación sobre Latinoamérica, el Caribe y sus pobladores, y que por primera vez se realiza en Colombia.
El evento contó con la participación del alcalde Mayor, Carlos Fernando Galán, el rector de la universidad, padre Luis Fernando Múnera, la consejera de Relaciones Internacionales de Bogotá, Sandra Borda, y la presidenta de LASA, Jo-Marie Burt.
“Para Bogotá es un honor recibirlos y que se realicé aquí este Congreso de debate, de análisis, de estudio, de diálogo y de escucha sobre Latinoamérica, sobre lo que estamos viviendo, sobre lo que somos, sobre lo que queremos ser y sobre la diversidad”, aseguró durante la instalación el alcalde Carlos Galán.
