Target dates for LASA2026
July 1, 2025	Open period begins for proposal submissions, travel grant requests, award nominations, and participation in the Book Fair.
September 1, 2025	Open period begins for LASA2026 film submissions.
September 9, 2025 (17:00 hrs EDT)	Deadline to renew LASA membership or All Access (membership + congress registration with discount) for proposal submissions and travel funding requests.
September 9, 2025 (17:00 hrs EDT)	Deadline for proposal submissions and travel funding requests to be received and/or updated.
September 20, 2025	Deadline for LASA2026 award nominations to be received, except for the LARR-University of Florida Article Award.
November 8, 2025	Notifications of proposals acceptance/rejection sent to proposal participants. (Depending on reviewers completion)
November 14, 2025	Deadline for LASA2026 films submissions to be received and/or updated.
December 12, 2025	Notifications of acceptance/rejection of travel grant requests sent to participants. The date is subject to change based on the availability of funds.
December 31, 2025	Deadline for the LASA2026 LARR-University of Florida Article Award nomination.
January 13, 2026	Deadline for LASA2026 GRANTEES only. Grantees must accept and digitally sign the contract. Otherwise, the travel grant will be revoked.
March 6, 2026	Deadline for LASA2026 participants to register for the Congress or renew All Access. Failure to register for the Congress or renew All Access (membership + congress registration with discount) may result in the collapse of a session or a participants’ removal from the official Congress program.
March 16, 2026	Notification of LASA2026 Film Festival Selected Films.
April 6, 2026	Deadline to receive all materials from selected films for LASA2026 Film Festival.
April 13, 2026	Deadline to submit the electronic paper for conference proceedings and memoirs. GRANTEES are required to send their papers to maintain their grant.
May 4, 2026	Notification of LASA2026 Film Festival Winners.
May 4, 2026	Electronic Program book becomes available online.
