If you are planning to join us on-site in San Francisco, California, May 5-8, for the LASA2022 Hybrid Congress, please make sure you read the following technology requirements to ensure you have a positive hybrid experience and enjoy your sessions.
Bring Your Own Device
LASA2022 has adopted the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Congress meeting space solution, in which participants and attendees drive the meeting and room technology using their own devices such as laptops, tablets, or smartphones.
BYOD solves the issue of having to connect your laptop to the meeting room system or adding your presentation to an equipment that you don’t understand or find difficult to operate.
Furthermore, LASA2022 BYOD minimizes contact points and reduces the possibility of COVID-19 transmission. Hence, LASA2022 meeting spaces will have Wi-Fi internet connection for all on-site participants and attendees to connect to the meeting through your own device, providing on-site attendees and participants with a touchless meeting space.
Please consider that BYOD requires that all participants and attendees bring and use their own headphones or earbuds. Using a headset, meaning headphones with a microphone, instead of the built-in microphone/speakers on your device, is highly recommended because it will not pick up the background noises during your participation. A headset focuses the microphone on your voice, cuts down on background noise, and minimizes echo.
These are the on-site steps to ensure that you have a successful hybrid session:
- Walk into your LASA2022 meeting room.
- Turn on your device: laptop, tablet or smartphone.
- Connect your device to the wireless network.
- Connect your headphones, headset, or earbuds to your device.
- Join the Zoom session.
